Closing Day of the Academic year 2011-12



KGBV has successfully completed its first Academic Year in 2011-12.
On the last working day of this year, Parents meet was conducted by RVM(SSA).  The special officer, Smt Rebecca, addressed the meet and intimated the care and concern of KGBV Management for the Girl Children.  The Arogya Balaraksha Health Cards, the better menu served in the hostel and the best education along with the supply steipend and cosmetics were intimated to all the parents.  The parents expressed their gratitude and happiness for the care and concern of KGBV.  The special officer expected the children who studied this academic year in KGBV should be an advertisement to attract more enrollment of dropouts into KGBV next year.  Advised the parents to send their children to KGBV in the next academic year also and to take more care for Girl Child for their better future. All Parents were provided feast along with the children.

Republic Day Celebrations at KGBV Uravakonda

63rd Republic Day was celebrated at KGBV Uravakonda in great bloom.  Special Officer Rebecca hoisted the National Flag and explained the prominence of the Republic Day celebrations and the great leaders and the Intellectuals behind the Independence and the making of the Indian Constitution.  She also stressed the necessity of Girls Education in order the enjoy the fruits of the Indian Constitution.  The role of Dr. BR Ambedkar in the making of the Indian Constitution was remembered.  The responsibility of each  citizen for the prosperity of the Nation in the Global world scenario. 
Cultural activities by the Students were inspirational and prizes were distributed to the winners in Sports and Games conducted in this connection.  The songs sung by the teaching and non-teaching staff was highlight.

National Girl Child Day Celebrations

National Girl Child Day celebrations were held at KGBV Uravakonda on 24th January 2012 under the presidentship of Ms. Rebecca, G., Special Officer, KGBV and Ms. Srividya MPDO was the chief guest.  The importance of  creating awareness about female foeticide, domestic violence and malnutrition in women and children and the essentiality of the Girls Education in the present scenario was stressed by the speakers.  The programme was followed by cultural activities, gift presentation along with refreshments.
